How to Play a Lower‑Waste Round with EcoTees™ and Friends

Golf courses are green, but golf gear? Not always. Every round leaves behind a trail of broken tees, cracked balls, and packaging that doesn’t match the beauty of the fairway. The good news is you don’t have to overhaul your entire bag to make a real difference. A few eco‑focused swaps can turn every round into an Eco Round.

EcoTees™ were created as a simple, powerful solution: professional‑grade tees that are durable in play but fully biodegradable afterwards. They look and feel familiar in your hand, but their future is very different from conventional plastic or painted wood tees that linger on the course and in the rough.

Step 1: Start with the tee box

Replace your usual tees with EcoTees™ for your next 18. Notice what doesn’t change: your routine, your stance, your swing. Notice what does change: the feeling of knowing each tee you leave behind is designed to safely break down rather than becoming another tiny piece of long‑term waste.

Step 2: Build an ecogolf kit

Think of your golf bag as an ecosystem. Beyond tees, you can look for:

  • Balls designed with lower‑impact materials where possible
  • A reusable water bottle replacing single‑use plastic
  • A small bag to pack out any trash you find along the way

Little actions like these are contagious. When your playing partners see your setup, the conversation shifts from “nice shot” to “wait, your tees are biodegradable?”, and that’s how culture changes on the course.

Step 3: Turn your round into a story

Take one photo from each round where you made an eco choice, EcoTees on the box, picking up litter on a fairway, refilling your bottle instead of grabbing a new one. Share it with #EcoRoundsOnly so other golfers can see just how easy it is to play the same game with a smaller footprint.

Eco golf isn’t about perfection. It’s about aiming your effort in the right direction, one swing at a time.
